On January 1, 2025, the new and dramatically improved payment terms for Animation Timers went into effect. 

The Producers have agreed to eliminate the often-abused unit (footage) rates for Animation Timers. Producers have also agreed (for all crafts) to raise the minimum rates by 7% (retroactive to Aug. 4, 2024), an additional 4% (effective August 3, 2025) and and additional 3.5% (effective August 2, 2026)

The Producers are now required to hire you either at Weekly rates or at Daily/Hourly rates, and to pay for the time it actually takes you to complete your assignment. Never again should you have to put in uncompensated overtime hours to complete an assignment. So you will want to be sure that you are hired and paid in accordance with the new Agreement.
