Yes, there are skills training opportunities, and yes, many of them are free! The Guild funds training programs through our educational partners EIDO and LAAFA. As well, active IATSE members have unlimited access to the LinkedIn Learning online library with more than 15,000 expert-led online courses and video tutorials. You might also be eligible for a Workforce Innovation and Opportunity (WIOA) Grant through the state of California, which provides up to 240 hours of funded (free) training through Studio Arts.
