A New Member is in the process of paying off their initiation fees. A new member becomes an active member when:

  • All initiation fees are paid in full.
  • The official membership application form is filled out and submitted to TAG.
    • As soon as initiation fees are paid in full, TAG will submit the application to the IATSE General office. (IATSE is TAG’s parent union.)
    • Once the IATSE approves and stamps the membership application, the member will be invited to be sworn in at the bi-monthly General Membership Meeting. At this point, they will be an Active Member in Good Standing.

If you go on Honorable Withdrawal while you are a new member, you are on Uninitiated Honorable Withdrawal.

If you go on Suspension while you are a new member, you are on Uninitiated Suspension.

As a new member, you can:

  • Attend TAG Town Halls or other non-constitutionally mandated meetings or events
  • Participate in Committee events
  • Participate in Groups
  • Reach out for help with a workplace issue
  • Receive protections from Weingarten Rights

New members are Not in Good Standing.
