The effects of racism do not stop at the animation studio door, and our union can and must do more to counter them. We endeavor to further our progress, by listening and learning, turning words into actions, and being a part of the solution.

The Obama Foundation
The foundation’s mission is to inspire, empower, and connect people to change their world with specific programs such as My Brother’s Keeper Alliance, mobilizing mentors, reducing youth violence, and improving life outcomes for boys and young men of color.

Black Lives Matter
Black Lives Matter Foundation, Inc is a global organization in the US, UK, and Canada, whose mission is to eradicate white supremacy and build local power to intervene in violence inflicted on Black communities by the state and vigilantes.

Campaign Zero
Campaign ZERO was developed with contributions from activists, protesters and researchers across the nation. This data-informed platform presents comprehensive solutions to end police violence in America. It integrates community demands and policy recommendations from research organizations and President Obama’s Task Force on 21st Century Policing.

Black N’ Animated
Black ‘N Animated is a community-oriented organization based in Los Angeles committed to the growth and empowerment of Black students and professionals in the animation industry, including an animation podcast to educate, inform and inspire black artists pursuing careers in animation. 

Inner City Arts
Inner-City Arts, widely regarded as one of the nation’s most effective arts education providers, is an oasis of learning, achievement and creativity in the heart of Skid Row, and a vital partner in the work of creating a safer, healthier Los Angeles.
