Tell us a little about yourself and your career journey.
I originally started off as a Cartoon Network Production Intern in 2008-09 on Ben 10: Ultimate Alien and Generator Rex. After graduating from Loyola Marymount’s animation program, I worked at the Apple Genius Bar while continuing to take classes at Concept Design Academy. I started working as a Production Assistant in 2015 on the Ben 10 reboot at Cartoon Network. I then moved over to storyboarding in 2017. I have done storyboarding and revisions on various shows such as Blood of Zeus, Harley Quinn, Invincible, My Little Pony: A New Generation, and many more projects over the last 10 years.

What do you love most about working in animation?
Collaborating with other creatives; animation is a team sport. I also just love movies, TV shows, and drawing. I love finding new challenges to push myself as a board artist. How do we tell this story in a more compelling way? How do we make the audience cry? Laugh? With just a drawing. I love that. It’s fun to think about how to bring it about, and it’s fun being a part of this industry that is steeped in so much history.
Why did you volunteer to serve as a Shop Steward?
To be an advocate and share information with my colleagues. You don’t know what you don’t know, and I remember learning all the things that a union could do too late. I want to make sure my peers are empowered and know that we are stronger together.
As a Shop Steward, what are your priorities in helping TAG members at your studio?
Information, education, and solidarity.
