Tell us a bit about yourself and your career journey.
I started working in entertainment in 2019, unsure of what I wanted to do and bouncing between games and theme park. But once I was hired as a Character Designer at Powerhouse in 2020, during the thick of lockdown, I found my place in animation and have loved it since. I have met the greatest co-workers, had so much fun designing beautiful characters, and have learned a lot about working with people and honing my own skills.
What do you love most about working in animation?
My favorite part is working with amazing people and putting all of our skills together to create something none of us could have made alone.
Why did you volunteer to serve as a Shop Steward?
I’ve been really happy to see the Union at Powerhouse develop over the last few years, and I want to make sure I can help it grow and be there to facilitate the needs of the unit.
As a Shop Steward, what are your priorities in helping TAG members at your studio?
My priorities are communicating any issues the unit at Powerhouse has to TAG, as well as being a support if anyone is having a difficult time.
