Tell us a bit about yourself and your career journey.
I started as a Background Designer at Titmouse on Metalocalypse. I have been fortunate enough to work for a bunch of studios in L.A. over the years such as Warner Bros., Titmouse, Bento Box, Fox, DreamWorks, and ShadowMachine. I’m currently an Art Director on X-Men ’97 at Marvel Animation.
What do you love most about working in animation?
I love being part of the creative community. I’m also still amazed that I get to draw for a living.
Why did you volunteer to serve as a Shop Steward?
I wanted to help foster the connections I believe have and should exist in our Union. At the time, I was frustrated by what I saw as intentional isolation between departments, crews, and fellow workers in the industry.
As a Shop Steward, what are your priorities in helping TAG members at your studio?
I want to be a visible presence in the studio for the Union. Let people know they can come to us with issues, or just to find out how to get involved.
