At the General Membership Meeting on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, TAG members voted on proposed amendments to the TAG Constitution and By-Laws. The amendments passed, as per the Constitution, with a two-thirds or more favorable vote of attending Active members In Good Standing.

The amendments must now be be submitted to the IATSE International President for approval prior to becoming law. Once they are approved, the constitution will be updated to reflect the amendments.
Following is a summary of the amendments:
Amend the language regarding the General Membership Meeting dates and times
This amendment will allow the Executive Board to set a date and time for General Membership Meetings, rather than requiring that all GMMs be held at 6:30 p.m. on the third Tuesday of alternating months. This means we can ask members in different time zones what works best for them and find a date and time that allows more members across the country to participate.
Addition of Treasurer to the Executive Board
This amendment adds the position of Treasurer to the group of named elected Officers on the TAG Executive Board, increasing the number of Executive Board members to 17. The Treasurer will be responsible for financial management, allowing the Business Representative to focus on their main tasks of negotiation and organizing. In addition, the position of Recording Secretary will be changed to Secretary, and duties for these positions will be clarified and/or reassigned.
Changes necessary to keep TAG’s Constitution lawful
Recommended by the IATSE International President in order to keep the TAG Constitution lawful, these amendments pertain to the impeachment of officers and appeals concerning elections and nominations.
