The staff and volunteers of MPTF are embarking on a unique effort to keep our entertainment industry community creatively engaged during this uncertain time of COVID-19. Channel 22, our on-campus TV station, is broadcasting live from the Susan and Gary Martin Screening room in the Louis B. Mayer Theater, with game shows, exercise classes, trivia, meditations and more.
As they care for the mental and physical well-being of the residents, social isolation is more of an issue now than ever—and thinking creatively to provide social connectivity in this time of social distancing is critical.
They will be LIVE on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 11 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., and will continue as long as they are able. Click here to take a look at some highlights from recent broadcasts.
They want your help as well since the residents would love to know you are thinking of them. You can send a video (spoken, sung, whatever!) for the residents by email to firstname.lastname@example.org. Watch the web page for new updates and highlights; just seeing a friendly face can make a huge difference as they give out prizes to enjoy, some smiles and laughs, and an opportunity to be together in new ways as we allow this time to pass. Please know they are deeply grateful for your support.
