Los Angeles County will have a new voting system for the March Primary. Will you know how to use it?
Join TAG’s Political Action League (PAL) for a workshop to help prepare you!
In March 2020, the County will move away from a precinct-based model to the Vote Center model made possible through the California Voter’s Choice Act. This will create an 11-day period of voting and will allow voters to vote at any Vote Center in the County during that period.
In addition, the County will move to a new fully accessible Ballot Marking Device, or BMD, which incorporates a modern touchscreen interface, but still retains a paper ballot for security. Although those features are the most significant, there will be several other changes that will improve the voting experience.
WHEN: Tuesday, Sept. 17 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
WHERE: The Animation Guild, IATSE Local 839, 1105 N. Hollywood Way, Burbank 91505
RSVP: Please RSVP by Sept. 13 by visiting https://tinyurl.com/PALVoting
Dinner will be provided.
This event is open to all Animation Guild members, as well as I.A.T.S.E. members at other locals.
Please note: This new voting system is for Los Angeles County voting residents only.
