Tell us a bit about yourself and your career journey.
Hi! My name is Angela De Vito, and I’m currently a Retake Supervisor at Titmouse NY. I graduated from SVA in 2014 and started out animating on commercial spots. I joined Titmouse NY in 2017 and have worked on a bunch of great shows like HOME: Adventures with Tip & Oh, Niko and the Sword of Light, Midnight Gospel, Harriet the Spy and currently Kiff. When I’m not animating, I love making comics. I have a graphic novel published with Disney Hyperion called Heartless Prince and a vampire webcomic called Lucy’s Endless Night.
What do you love most about working in animation?
I love storytelling and helping to bring to life worlds with lovable characters. But what I love more is working with a bunch of fun, talented people who inspire me everyday to be a better artist, animator, and person.
I love working at Titmouse NY, and I’m really passionate about keeping it as a great place to work for myself and my co-workers. I started out helping on the Organizing Committee but had to step away when we reached negotiations for our first contract due to other commitments. I’m excited to come back and help my co-workers in this new role!
As a steward, what are your priorities in helping TAG members at your studio?
We at Titmouse NY are getting ready to renegotiate our contract next year, so it’s super important to me to keep our members informed. I also want to help make more of a community here in NY and am excited to work with our recently formed East Coast chapter of the TAG Young Workers Committee to organize and promote more in-person events!

Starting with the original Teen Titans for Cartoon Network, Hoegee has been head writer and story editor on an impressive list of award-winning animated series including Legion of Super Heroes, Storm Hawks, Generator Rex, Slugterra and Thunderbirds are Go. As a series creator, Rob just saw the launch of Abby Hatcher on Nick Jr. and as writer and executive producer won the 2016 Daytime Emmy for Best Animated Program with Niko and the Sword of Light for Amazon. Here, we had a chance to talk to him about his work and, as a member of both TAG and the WGA, how other members can support their sister union.
