TAG hosted its first Zinefest last Friday, June 28th, and the event was a resounding success with 50 artists featuring their work to a packed crowd of a few hundred people. “We weren’t counting, but we had a non-stop stream of folks from the moment we opened at 6 p.m. until we shut down at 10 p.m.,” says Brooke Keesling, Director of Community and Culture.
TAG members sold their zines, comics, stickers, books, and art prints both upstairs in Hulett Hall and downstairs in Gallery 839. Light refreshments were served as many attendees, including executives and recruiters from Cartoon Network and Netflix, came straight from work. Overall people seemed to have a terrific time with more than one person requesting a repeat of the event!
