All Active TAG members in Good Standing are eligible to vote in the November 2025 election for TAG’s Executive Board. Following are the criteria to ensure your Active in Good Standing status in time to be able to vote.

New Member: Need to Pay Dues & Submit Application

If you want to vote in this year’s election, you must complete the following:

• Pay off all your dues, initiation fees, and assessments so that no monies are owed to the Guild. 
• Once you no longer have monies owed to the Guild, you will receive your IATSE membership application by email. This digital application must be submitted no later than Oct. 17, 2025 so that there is time for our parent union, the IATSE office in New York, to process it by the voting deadline of 3 p.m. PST on Nov. 7, 2025.
• Once all dues and fees are paid, and all membership application processing is completed by both the Guild and IATSE offices, you will become an Active member in Good Standing.

New Member: Dues Paid but Need to Submit Application

If you have paid off all your dues, initiation fees, and assessments so that no monies are owed to the Guild, but have not submitted your IATSE membership application, you are not yet eligible to vote. You must fill out your application and submit it no later than Oct. 17, 2025. Once it is processed by both the Guild and IATSE offices, you will become an Active member in Good Standing and eligible to vote.

Please note: When you paid off your initiation fees, you should have received a digital link to the online application. If you cannot find this email or did not receive the link, please email Leah Semiken at leah.semiken@tag839.org to request one.

Member on Withdrawal

If you are currently on Withdrawal, in order to vote in November’s election, you must reinstate your membership by paying all dues, fees and assessments so that no monies are owed to The Animation Guild (your balance owing must be zero) by 3 p.m. PST on Nov. 7, 2025 to be eligible to vote.

Please note: Reinstatement can take a few days so reach out to the Guild office no later than Nov. 5, 2025 to begin the process. 

Member on Suspension

If you are currently Suspended, in order to vote in November’s election you must reinstate your membership by paying all dues, fees, and assessments so that no monies are owed to The Animation Guild (your balance owing must be zero) by 3 p.m. PST on Nov. 7, 2025, to be eligible to vote.
