THE TAG INITIATION FEE
When you join The Animation Guild, new members are assessed a one-time initiation fee. The fee is equivalent to two weeks’ minimum scale wage in the job category in which you are first hired (that is, not your actual rate of pay).

We understand that it can be difficult to pay your initiation fee all at once, so we offer ways to customize a no-interest payment plan that suits your budget. The Guild does not charge interest or any fees to process a payment plan. To arrange a payment plan email Finance Operations Manager Kristal Landa.
THE IATSE REGISTRATION FEE
Our parent union, the IATSE, charges a one-time registration fee of $100. This fee is included in your balance when you are set up as a new member, and the Union office will submit this fee on your behalf.
Dues are charged quarterly (once every three months) to all Active members and are due on or before January 1, April 1, July 1, and October 1. Dues are assessed on a quarterly basis and can be paid through our online payment system or by check and mailed to:

The system accepts one-time payements or the scheduling of payments on a monthly or quarterly basis.
REGISTERING FOR THE PAYMENT SYSTEM
Before you can pay your fees online, you need to register for the payment system. You’ll need three key pieces of information to register: 1) Your Local 839 Member ID (which is sent in your welcome packet); 2) A personal email address (do not use your studio email); and 3) the last four digits of your social security number.
If you are having trouble registering for the system, it may be that a temporary social security number was used in the absence of your real information. Email email@example.com for support.
