Member-Run Communications Guidelines

Committee Communications

TAG’s committees and groups are member-run efforts. All communications from committees or groups are authorized by the Guild when they are posted on official Guild social media or sent through official Guild email channels. If communications do not come through these channels (i.e. they are posted on a committee social media channel), they should not be considered official Guild communications.

For all communications about the Guild, committees should use the following guidelines, as well as TAG’s Artwork & Branding guidelines:

  • Share concepts and content before creating artwork. For example, share video scripts for approval and fact-checking before working on the animation. Share meme concepts or comic ideas before designing the graphics.
  • Get prior approval for any graphics featuring the TAG logo.
  • When posting on social media, consider using the following hashtags in your post: #WeAre839, #WePowerAnimation

Discord

The Animation Guild does not have an official Discord channel. All unofficial Discord channels related to TAG are volunteer-run by TAG members. While members may share Guild-authorized information, this does not mean all information shared on Discord has been authorized. Any response received through these Discord channels is not authorized by the Guild. If you need an answer to a question, please email membership@tag839.org or visit FAQs for answers to commonly asked questions.

Discord is an opportunity to network, share ideas, share resources, and more. As you engage on Discord as a TAG member, we ask that you be courteous and consider TAG’s Digital Citizenship guidelines.

To join the member-run TAG Discord channel, send your request to committee-comms@tag839.org.
