New Member Checklist

Congratulations on joining The Animation Guild! We want to make this process as easy as possible, so we’ve created a checklist to make sure you know what you need to do and when you need to do it. 

 

What to do now

If you haven’t received a new membership package, reach out to the office at membership@tag839.org and let us know.

Send in all your paperwork including the IATSE application.

Pay off your initiation fee or set up a no-interest payment plan. Questions? Email Finance Operations Manager Kristal Landa.

What to do in your first 3 months

Attend a New Member seminar. Learn more from Member Services Coordinator Jackie Huang.

Attend your first General Membership Meeting.

Create an MPIPHP account to track your healthcare hours so you know when you qualify. Learn more about setting up your account here.

Check out the Committees page and consider getting involved. It’s a great way to meet your fellow TAG members!

Sign up to volunteer for Guild events and community outreach.

After working for 90 days, you are now eligible to sign up for the 401K plan. Learn how to participate here.

What to do in 5 to 6 months

If you’ve reached your 600 hours, you should receive a benefits package from MPIPHP. If you haven’t, contact them at (855)-275-4674.

Attend a benefits seminar. Contact Member Services Coordinator Jackie Huang to learn more.

If you’ve paid off your initiation fee,  but haven’t already submitted your IATSE paper application send it in now. Remember you are not an official Animation Guild member until this application is mailed and processed.
