Statom, an animator and visual effects artist, attended the “Rally of Justice” on Nov. 9, 2019 in support of immigrant rights and equality. “It was a great experience. It’s always inspiring to see all the different types of unions we have in LA,” says Statom. “I watched Poncho Sanchez perform with a 100 percent union band. Newly-elected LA Federation of Labor President Ron Herrera and Ex-LA Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa also gave impassioned speeches, reaffirming how much work we have to do to keep LA a UNION town.”
