We had a diverse group of over two dozen IATSE members join us for the sign making party co-hosted by the Color Designers committee. Members in attendance came from Locals 33, 44, 729, 800, 871, 839 and 892. Several of these Locals also chipped in by helping to supply materials, including Local 700, who generously provided foam boards for our signs.
Everyone thanked The Animation Guild and The Color Designer Committee for hosting, and several members from the other Locals noted how welcoming our space is at Local 839. Many who attended plan to keep in contact with each other in order to continue to share ideas on workplace gender issues together, as an IA Inter-Local Womens/Pay Equity Committee.
The signs made by the group were used at the Women’s March held in downtown Los Angeles on Feb. 18.
